Iphone "Super Monkey Ball" is a Hit !!
According to SF Gate Sega of a America president, Simon Jeffery said he expects to sell 1 million copies of "Super Monkey Ball" on the Iphone. So if my math is correct... SMB sells for 9.99 x 1 million = nearly 10 million dollars of which Sega should pocket 7 million, Remember Apple takes a fee of 30% for running the App Store. Not bad for a game that only took 4 months to make with a core staff of about 15 people. In my estimates the game should have cost between 300,000 and 700,000 to develop. It seems the Iphone is indeed a very profitable gaming platform.
