Fox Wants Your Christmas Shorts

The search for new content is on! The Hollywood Reporter states that Fox is looking for next new animated holiday program. 20th TV, Fox and Aniboom are creating a contest to find the next holiday classics and are offering a development deal as 1st prize.
“Fox has long been the sole primetime animation powerhouse, and we’re searching for a fresh new animated holiday special that could potentially become an instant classic and maybe even a weekly series,” said Fox president Kevin Reilly. “By tapping into Aniboom’s community of undiscovered talent, we hope to find the next original hit holiday concept, like ‘Simpsons Treehouse of Horror’ or ‘A Very Special Family Guy Freakin’ Christmas.’”
The idea of Fox is to get some new content to mix in with the classic holiday staples such as HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, and RUDOLF THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. The holiday classics still get good rating, but getting people to ’stay tuned’ amid over 600 channels is always a challenge. By teaming up with Aniboom, Fox gets first pick of new content from applicants from around the world.
So, if you have had that holiday-themed story rattling around your head, now is the time it get it made and over to Fox and Aniboom. For more info go to Aniboom.com
